THE CONSUMER CONFIDENCE INDEX FELL TO LOWEST LEVEL!
The consumer confidence index, fell to lowest level after 66.0 in January 2010, is calculated from the survey results is evaluated within the range of 0-200. It indicates an optimistic outlook when the index is above 100, but it indicates a pessimistic outlook when it is below 100.
HOUSHOLD FINANCIAL SITUATION
The financial situation expectation of household index fell by 1.1 percent compared to the previous month and became 87.84 in January. This decline resulted from the decrease in the ratio of better financial situation expectation of household in the next 12 months period.
GENERAL ECONOMIC SITUATION
The general economic situation expectation index fell by 0.3 percent to 91.49 in January. This development shows a fall in the number of consumers expected a better general economic situation in the next 12 months, compared to the previous month.
UNEMPLOYMENT
The number of people unemployed expectation index rose by 0.7 percent to 67.81 in January, compared to the previous month. This increase stemmed from the decrease in the ratio of people expecting an increase in the number of unemployed persons in the next 12 months.
PROBABILITY OF SAVING
The probability of saving index increased by 2.9 percent and rose from 23.02 in December to 23.69 in January. This increase shows that the possibility of saving of consumers in the next 12 months period increased compared to the previous month.
